A gate being heavily kicked.

Hardcore kick at 220bpm tuned to g, the main body was made made in rob papen raw kick. This one has a nice tok (attack) with some gated reverb.

I took a kick drum hit from a song i recorded on and tweaked the gate, eq, reverb. Enjoy.

Here was my attempt to simulate the kicks used by hip hop producer don cannon. Fully synthesized, no samples here. But, as stated in the title, i did gate the sound in order to get more attack.

Made this from a dry sample by using gated reverb and a little eq-ing.

A hard, distorted kick sound ran through a volume and delay gate. 1 bar long at 128 bpm.

Time to give something back here. Hope it's useful. Mix out of a soft synth kick punched up and up, by adding gated attack kick. Compressed and limited, maximal appereance of the kick by giving enough space for other instruments. Also can handle a subbass (+/- sidechaincomp) easily , because of the depth.

Heavy distortion with some ample amount of delay. The very beginning is rather moody and trippy, then it kicks in for a slow arena rock style guitar solo, then some random notes for the ending.

Nice trick working with doepfer a-101-1 vactrol vcf. Noise to lp in. Gate to cvf in 1 out straight to mixer. Low frequency. High emph. Lp 0, bp about 5 and hp 0. Added a bass and my sampled voice. . .

I used bdx for the kick, sent through disto-fx and various eq plugins. Cymbalistic was used for the hihats, with further eq and gating placed on it. The snare was from a free sample pack (i can't remember the name of) sent through a resonator, eq plugins and some soft-clippers to give it a bigger sound. Clipmax was used on the master channel.
